A group exhibition exploring what we inherit, what we keep, and what we choose to redefine.

We are all, in some way, the sum of what came before us. But heritage is not simply received; it is negotiated, questioned, grieved, and transformed. Heritage invites artists to sit with that negotiation.

Themes & Territories
Artists are encouraged to explore, but are not limited to, the following themes:

Cultural & Ancestral Identity- The traditions, languages, and histories that form the backbone of who we are.

Family & Personal Memory- The intimate architecture of family, spoken and unspoken.

Reimagining & Breaking Cycles- The act of choosing differently.

Place & Land- The geography of origin. What it means to be rooted somewhere, or to have been uprooted.

On Medium: Heritage welcomes all media and forms of practice: visual, textile, photographic, sculptural, installation-based, or work that resists categorization.

A Note from the Curators: The stories people carry about where they come from are among the most powerful forces in their lives and their art. Heritage is an invitation to examine yours.
